Mulligatawny the Tamil version of the English "pepper water" or "pepper soup for (a South Indian Dravidian language) words. The British East India Company stationed in India (along with popular staff) during the colonial period, 18 and later in the century. When the house, that they brought the recipe back to England, and other community members, especially back in Australia.
Originally a rich chili with it, so this name is curry soup. Western culture for a different taste, and revised at different times and places as are many. Usually on the chicken soup (meat or vegetables) and curry, with cream-based, the pieces of chicken, onion, celery, apples and almonds with rice and garnished. The cream of coconut milk so that the original is possible.
Vegetarian versions of cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, apples, and sweet coconut rice are included. I think Australians want to add tomatoes and bacon. Sometimes yogurt instead of cream or coconut milk is used. To the original Mulligatawny today bear little resemblance.
